  1. It’s odd; I thought that I would find a very momentous photo on this day and be able to connect it with my life in some meaningful way, considering I was born on this day 20 years ago. Even though I didn’t feel or see what I thought I would have felt or seen, it was still a day in the artist’s life that he felt important enough to document. This building still holds meaning to it, and through the artist, there is a treasure.

    1. I too turned 20 on that day. I don’t remember the day, but I do remember that month. I was preparing for cardiac ablation. It was a stressful period in my life. My family worried about paying for the surgery because we didn’t have health insurance, but I needed the procedure. It is fitting to see the Empire State as the photo for that day. A tower built during the Great Depression- a time of hopelessness, despair and anguish. However its completion boost morale. It is a symbol of perseverance. Now looking back, I too persevered; I towered over my obstacles.
