  1. My husband asked me to marry him when I was ill and carrying our son. It was a beautiful moment and I will never forget it. ❤️

  2. I lost my fiancé to Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) on February 6th, 2007. She was 24. Months earlier, we had put a quarter into a grocery store vending machine, and got a little tin ring from it. My fiancé, Jamey (ironically?), never took it off. When we wanted to get rings to have a small ceremony, she told me, “I already have my ring.” She passed before we ever got the chance at the ceremony. She was buried with that little tin ring still on her finger. Thank you so much for sharing these photos. Though the last ones are painful for me to look at, they also bring a comforting warmth as her memory comes over me.

  3. I read the article on Mentalfloss.com. I decided to start exploring this library with the day of my birthday.
I was 9 years old when Jamie took his first Polaroid.
This is the first photo I see.
I feel a sense of happiness – for them.
Melancholy, with realization this was his last Oct 5.
