  1. On the day Jamie Livingston died, I was celebrating my 50th Birthday. If I’d known about Jamie, I would also have been celebrating his life. I celebrate him now.

  2. On this day last year I found out I had a brain lesion. I would go in for surgery a month later.

    I’m sorry you’re gone Jamie.

    1. I hope you’re doing o.k. Codie Petersen. I have gone through about the last 6 months of these pictures and I must say coming to this page is just heartbreaking you don’t want the pictures to end, his life to end. He was such a handsome man and I hope his wife is doing o.k.

  3. The day before he died was my 13th birthday. It really puts things in perspective. Jamie was an editor, and I am an editor. I don’t know what else to really say, other than he literally cherished every moment of his life. Thank you for sharing, Jamie.

  4. My adopted son was born on this day. I have no idea what I was doing or where I was when he was born. Now I know 1 more thing about the world from this day. Goodbye Jamie, thank you for sharing your life with all of us.

    1. I’m not sure if they are smoking or not, it might be a pen? Difficult to make out. 1997 is not so long ago that there weren’t already tons of common sense smoking regulations. Certainly everywhere that I live (South Africa) already had a lot of non-smoking areas at least a few years before that, early 1990 etc. And definitely in hospitals, airplanes etc..

There also comes a point when it doesn’t matter anymore, so there’s that.
