On this day I was born. My parents were at a family friends July 4th party and my father was boozing heavily, per the usual. My mother started having contractions around 5pm and alerted him to my impending arrival. My dad loves fireworks. If they could only make it 3-4 more hours everyone could get what they want. I had a say in this. It was time. Round 7:15pm it was time to hit that slip and slide. Fortunately a doctor was in the house and the announcement didn’t even have to be made. By 7:30pm a boy was born. This picture explains everything perfectly 🙂

🙂 This is the day my daughter was born. We had been traveling on the road for over a year, I was pregnant the entire time. In the last few months of my pregnancy we were in the South, and for awhile we stayed in Decatur and Atlanta. By the time Jan. 8 came around, though, we were in Houston. I loved my time in Georgia, and I actually haven’t been back since that time. This is a really good photo for that day, and that time. Thanks for posting these.
