Stories about those days.

The stories that people have about Jamie’s photos are a source of amazement.  Some are of the “that’s me and we were doing this” type of stories from Jamie’s friends. Some are the “I never met Jamie but this was taken on my birthday and it means a lot to me. And some are just stunningly moving one of a kind stories.

This project means so much to me, I own the book and look at it often, I never realized? The photo taken the day I was born, was the NY Mets schedule. I am the biggest Mets fan, huge Mets tattoo. And here is a little connection to me and the project

When this was taken I had only just been born, a world away on the North West coast of England in the UK, unaware of Jamie Livingston and his amazing project, and his journey over the year, and the love for his home.

Thank you Jamie for reminding me today to live in the present.

I get jealous of decades like these when hanging out without smartphones or tablets and just enjoying your surroundings. I did get to do that a bit, in the 90s and 2000s, but this seems so much sublime.

To think this is the photo that started everything for this man’s project. I’m not sure if he had the intention then, as there is a bit of a gap a little after this photo, but it was the beginning of a journey.

I was born on this DATE, but in 1969, so I picked 1988 because I graduated that year. My grandma used to say my ex-husband looked like Elvis, so seeing this photo was very cool. 📸

Greetings other December thirteeners! This shot was on my 4th birthday. Interesting to see other Polaroid shots in this shot. Looks like maybe a Giants game in the one on the left? I only say this because I know he lived in New York and it looks like you can see the uprights in the pic. Would love to know the story.
