One of the most important days of my life: the day my sister Lucía was born.

This is the day I was born. I loved Jamie Livingston’s story.

The birthday of the beautiful woman who loves me. I am forever grateful to this universe for making her. Without this day I might have never know my own daughters. I might have never known how strong love can truly be. I might have not made it this far on my own.
The single most important day in my life and it took almost 25 years to even start finding that out.

Thank you Jamie for taking the all these beautiful pictures. Your eye was special. Thank you Hugh for showing it to me. It has allowed me to reflect on the things I hold most dear.

I was born in 92′, on this very day, the 7th of February.
My mother was rushed in to the hospital in the worst snowstorm that had ever struck my hometown since they started measuring weather in 1889. She always mention that it was such a hassle to get to the hospital every time we talk about that.

Somehow, I managed to turn out rather okay. I’m soon turning 25 and I’m going to school to become an engineer. I recently moved to a new town here in Sweden and I’ve made some loosely connected friends. However I did just find out that the girl I was with for four years up until august this year announced that she’s getting engaged with some new guy she met. I asked her to marry me, and that’s why she left me. At first I didn’t believe it, but according to a mutual friend this guy propsed with a ring “the size of an apple”. The ring I propsed with wasn’t, but I really hope that wasn’t the reason for her to make the decision that she did.

I love this site, and I appreciate you for keeping it up.

The day I was born. 2 months premature and with a weird infection that almost killed me as well as my mother. So just like Phil a broken day.

This picture was taken on the day I was born. I figured this picture would have been something having to do with Christmas but thanks to me coming, my parents Christmas also had nothing to do with the holiday. Real life happens on the holidays as well.

This was the day I was born at 08:28 UTC+02:00, during a snowy day in Finland. It is so interesting to see a place so different from the same time (not that I remember a thing from my first day alive).

This was on my 18th birthday in 1979.

the day i was born, Saturday October 7th 1989, my father was unable to be there because he was working on a microchip that would be on a satellite orbiting the earth. my mother was so angry with him for missing it. Instead, to celebrate his first and only child, he wrote my initials on the microchip and sent it off into space.

I often feel the way this photo communicates its emotion.

Fascinating, it shows that life was simply going on as normal even though this was probably one of, if not the most important day of the 20th century: the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

This was the day I was born too, in New Hampshire. This picture reminds me of me and my brothers.

This photo is erie to me. The blurriness of it, the darkness. It’s the day my wife died. She was 28. We were married 13 days short of two years.

This was my birthday. My mom loves to tell me how unbearably hot it was that day and how she remembers lying in the hospital bed watching the weatherman fry eggs on the pavement on the midday news.

Now we need to go see the photo 9 months earlier than this.

I can’t help but feel tears welling up and a tightness in my chest looking at this vast collection. But it’s not so much sadness as it is happiness. His life looked to be full of adventure and friends that loved him. I hope that I can live my life as much as he lived his and find the friends that will make every day a new adventure.
