I was born this day. My father was a United States marine stationed in Hawaii and my mother was eagerly expecting her first child. There was a hurricane over Oahu and a military transport was required to get my mother to the hospital safely. Since we were so far from family (California), these are the empty seats in the waiting room of the hospital since no one was there for my birth.
