Some context here from an old pal of Jamie’s. As anyone who has looked through PotD could guess, Jamie loved birthdays (his own, and those of his pals). A game such as Game Six of the ’86 Series is about as great a gift as any Mets fan could ever receive. And, of course, this game was played on Jamie’s 30th birthday.
I was there! With my father. We turned to each other as the Sox took the field in the bottom of the 9th and said “Why is he out there?” Buckner was HURT.
I moved to NY in April of ’86 and I love seeing these.

This is the day that hurts my heart, being a huge Red Sox fan and all. Bill Buckner’s error, and it looks like they had a great view of it too.
