This date was my 17th Birthday…..it gives me pain to think about the fact that not even 5 days later the photographer Jamie Livingston passed away……I’m grateful that he took up this project and memories from theses pics flood in and leave me with emotions I haven’t felt in years…….Thank You Jamie Livingston for taking these Polaroids and Thank You Hugh Crawford for sharing Jamie’s Work and Memories

Ed Koch, was New York city’s mayor from 1978 through 1989. A period of change for the LGBT movement, including the beginning and some of the worst years of the AIDS crisis. Kotch died February 1, 2013, of congestive heart failure.

I remember the eclipse. I was in 5th grade And I remember we couldn’t go out for recess because they were afraid we were going to stare at the sun. I just remember looking out of the window and remembering how dark it had gotten.

This was the day my youngest child was born! Curiously enough, she had a passion for photography when she was younger. She even graduated college from a photography institute. I love this photo Jamie Livingston took. It just seems so apropos, for her!

This is my birthday also, I agree kinda a creepy one compared to all the others around the same day! I wonder what happened this day that quite a big bandage.

It’s so weird to think that on this date on the other side of the world I was being born, that as I was coming into this world this man like millions of others were living a different life. When I was little I thought the world started when I did, mum and dad, my whole world didn’t exist until I did. I still catch myself being amazed of this fact, and this image is oddly proof of that.

My husband and I were married this day. It was a rainy day in SW PA, but the wedding, although small, was beautiful. Even more importantly, the marriage has been beautiful. We now have 7 kids, two biological, 5 adopted. It’s been a great two decades with my husband and I look forward to more wonderful decades ahead,

“Big Noise”

This was the day I was born. Crazy seeing that on such an awful day for some, it can also be an amazing day for others.. beautiful pictures.

Wow! I can’t believe this photo was taken on a lake as well. This date was my 18th birthday. I had just graduated high school a few months before. We spent the entire day out at Folsom Lake in Northern California. I remember taking a paddle boat out and singing “Brown Eyed Girl” for way, way too long. I got the worst sunburn of my life that day. It is an immensely perfect memory.

This is the day my son was born. He committed suicide in 2013. I love that this photo shows people having fun.
