There is something in these photos that evokes seriously feeling in me. I’ve been going Year to year starting with my birth year and every photo in some way represents something about me, something I love about me. Its taken me by surprise every time I progress a year. I would have been 6 this year. I love hockey!! Every year I map out of the playoffs like a crazy person in hopes of getting that beautiful cup they’re holding. It amazes me how this album with only the photos taken on my birthday are illustrating me.

11/30/87 This was the day I was born. My birthday. And this picture is supremely awesome! I learned of these photos through the video on Mentalfloss. Just like the man who created that video, I find Jamie Livingston work impeccable. In my mind photos are capturing a moment in time forever. Even our own memories have a hard time doing that. My brother was born this day in a Navy hospital. They gave my mom, who weighed 135 WITH my brother, 100 mg of Demerol! She was so loopy that no matter what dad said to her she replied “You typed it wrong. Do it over again.” Then they played musical bedpan. That was when mom said she had to go to the bathroom so dad brought her a bed pan. She then asked what it was and refused it when dad told her. After doing this many times dad put the bed pan under her only to see my brother crowning. She had been pushing for half an hour and didn’t know it!
I learned this story from my dad because to this day mom’s memory of events is still foggy.
