This is the day I was born! It’s so crazy to think that so many different people live so many different lives at the same time we live our own. We never even stop to think about other people living their lives across the country or world.

This is the photo taken the day of my birth, and it left me in awe because I live my life on the beach. I live 2 blocks from a beach and every day my children and I walk there and spend the day swimming. It is a beautiful life.

it’s cool, that day i was born

I was born this day, and somewhere else in life, a man was photographing the primary colors that would one day be my inspiration as an artist. I found this today when I was feeling caged in by politics and I am comforted. Sometimes cages can be beautiful, colorful places if we only choose to see them that way. Thank you Jamie Livingston.

10/10/96 is the day I was born. My twin brother and I were born on my dad’s birthday. My mom said she didn’t know what else to get him

On this day, I turned 11 and saw snow for the first time in the mountains of South Africa. It’s so wonderful and surreal to connect my memories of that day with this photo of a day at the beach.

My birthday. I was 8.5 months pregnant with my first child.
I spent the day trimming trees and mowing grass. It was a bright, sunny day, flowers were blooming. We’d planted our garden a week or so prior, and tiny plants were beginning to sprout.
After work was done, I sat on the front porch, drinking tea, thinking about the baby.
