The day that the love of my life, and the mother of my four children, was born.

This was the day of my 18th birthday. I had a wonderful day with my Family and my soon-to-be Fiance. I had a wonderful talk with my Grandfather. to cap off the day’s events, i had an extremely fun and crazy night of Camping with my best friends.

My parents & 3 year old brother were at my maternal grandparents apartment for a Labor Day picnic when my Mother’s contractions started. My brother was dirty from playing with his Tonka Trucks in the dirt so my Mother wanted to bathe him before going to the hospital. She almost waited too long to go to the hospital but with the Jerry Lewis tellathon on the TV in the background; my Mother naturally gave birth to me at 10:36pm. Other than a little jaundice, I was a healthy baby. I still have the pink stuffed cat my brother gave me the next morning when he came to meet me.

On this day and young girl, barely 17 was going through the scariest thing of her life at this time, she was giving birth to her first child. ❤ This is my birthday. That young girl grew to be the most amazing mother! She is strong, loving, caring, and always has her door wide open for anyone who needs a warm place to stay. Thank you mommy.

It’s my 7th birthday, a Monday, the start of a new school week. I’m a first grader in a new school, still with that new-school-year feeling. A few months ago my mother gave me the choice of continuing in public school, or going to a Catholic school. I’m not exactly sure why I said Catholic school. Maybe it sounded interesting, or she seemed hopeful or expectant about my answer? So the choice was made, and it would affect my life for many years to come.
