This is my birthday. I was born at 8:21am on this day. Wow! This is absolutely amazing! It makes me feel small but humbled to see life happening on my first day here on earth. It’s just goes to show life happens daily and continues on far beyond.

1/31/90 is my birthday. Kind of looks like they’re toasting to my parents. Even the expressions of the people in the photo reflect that of my parents’ sense of humor. I am in no way related to any of these people as far as I know, but they all seem like people that would be in my family.

This is the day my eldest son was born at St. Vincent’s hospital in the West Village. That summer had been brutally hot. I was a 20 year old single mother with no money, education, or prospects. It’s 23 years later and we both made it. I’m a nurse and he is a wonderful man.

This was the day I was born. This picture and the entire collection are truly amazing. To be able and go back to something and see something real, before Facebook or mainstream media, just a simple moment in time through someone else’s eyes is humbling. You can get those goofy books about the year of your birth that shows ads and current events at the time or the price of milk. But this has meaning, it is simple, it is just real, and it’s a day in the year. I would print this and hang it on my wall just because, to look at it and think about how simple life can be and how it’s full of so many moments that we miss most of it.

My wife was born this day, and my name is the first word on this page!

I was born that day in Weslaco Tx. I was the second son of my parents. I would end up also battling cancer 27 years later. I know some of the struggles Jaime went thru on chemo. Thank you Jaime.

This was the day my grandpa passed away. I was almost 10 years old and I remember being upset because he wouldn’t get to be at my birthday party. He had a heart attack while riding a four-wheel ATV through the woods. He was 76 years old.

I dont really know the whole story, if there is a story after all. and as for someone who really loves and has a passion for photography, i can only thank jamie for the work he’s created. for me to be able to look at a photogrpah of this date the feeling is like going through a time machine or looking back in time. though on this day, may not be the best day of jamies life or his friends. july 30th 1997 was the day i was born and even though obviously didn’t know him this photograph in its entirety is to me a literal definition of what i call “a work of art”

This is my birthday! 😊

I was born on this day, in Glendale California. Although I didn’t know it, I was born in the same hospital as a friend I would meet 18 years later and become room mates with, in Arizona. Doctors told my parents that I would have many complications and might not live to adulthood, and yet I was born healthy. So much of my life has turned on its head. Nothing is as it seemed, even minutes before. And that’s what I love about it.

This was in my birthday… I wonder how was the world that day… What people were doing. And those people on the photo? Where are they? Do they remember that day? Its a very bright and warm toned photo, just like august… I like particularlly of the degradé in they shirts. Thanks for this, whatever you are.
