A friend passed away almost 24 hours ago. I grieve and feel the same fear and anxiety I had when my father passed over two years ago. Obsessing over getting older and how I fear it. I then heard about Jamie’s photos today. Probably by some sort of divine message. And here I am looking up my birthday. Looks like I should remember that as much as death is real, so is living. And birthdays. And joy. So thank you for reminding me (and I’m sure many) that living… living is the answer.

Friday 3/10/89 at 9:36 am, I was born to two immigrants in Paterson, NJ. I was 18 inchs long and 6lbs. The town I lived in was clean, healthy, the kids played in the streets till it was too dark to see. My aunt lived in the apartment above us. It was a good day to be brought into life.
