I feel oddly connected to this photograph. On the other side of the world, a Polaroid was being taken as I was being born. This Polaroid is now apart of something so maybe I am too.

12/28/1996 is the day I was born and at first when I found this picture I was a little frustrated. Yay. Cool. He had spaghetti and watched movies on a cold winter day. Spectacular. I wanted something more meaningful. More abstract. Something that could give me a clue or a sign into what I should be doing.
But after looking through to the end of his photos, I’m glad he had spaghetti and watched films and maybe didn’t even leave the house this day. By this time next year, He wouldn’t be alive. And I’m glad he enjoyed these small things enough to share them.
A good lesson to me to try and enjoy the little things too.
