Stories about those days.

The stories that people have about Jamie’s photos are a source of amazement.  Some are of the “that’s me and we were doing this” type of stories from Jamie’s friends. Some are the “I never met Jamie but this was taken on my birthday and it means a lot to me. And some are just stunningly moving one of a kind stories.

My birthday, nearly 30 years ago now… The funny thing about this picture being the one on MY birthday is how much the woman reminds me of my mom. A woman I haven’t spoken to in over 10 years, a woman that I want absolutely nothing to do with. But they have the same reddish brown hair, same length and natural wavyness, same cheekbones and pretty, sleepy looking eyes, and I can’t tell, but it would be crazy if she has the same chocolate brown eyes as my mom too…

This is my birthday, the year I was born. The woman is holding a tortoise calico which was the same exact cat that I had when I was young. It’s also kind of a rare type of calico 🙂

This day, November 3, 1992 I delivered my daughter, Elizabeth Iris Chambers and she weighed 5 pounds 3 ounces and she was 10 weeks early. She was born in Lawrenceville, GA. I was so happy to know she had arrived and we could start our life together. I had voted in the Presidential Election and it had been really hot standing in the long line of voters but I was one who never.misses a voting day because I believe in supporting your own life by choosing and making sure.your choice is registered, win or lose. I had to deliver because my blood pressure rose to stroke levels quickly upon completing my civic duty of voting. I went to the.hospital within 2 hours. I was given the the.most wonderful.gift in the world. I was so filled with love and I yearned to hold my baby and tell her how wonderful it was to have her in.my arms and.my heart. I had to wait 3 days but it.was well worth the wait. She was in NICU and I wasn’t afraid to face the future with this little Angel because I had walked the walk 2 years earlier and I knew miracles were possible when her brother was born 12 weeks early. I was put to sleep to recover that day and I dreamed of all the wonderful times we would share. I was so excited to have a family to love and to journey through life with. I loved more than I ever dreamed you could love. I was thankful and so proud of her and she hadnt.done much in history on earth but.boy she had done a lot of work to get here and survive. She had tried to avoid the respirator but she finally gave in to the laws of life and had to go on respirator. She was a fighter and off quickly. My mother and father arrived later that night from St. Petersburg, FL and I was so happy they had.made it.to.see my new baby girl. I was so proud. My mother jokingly asked if I was naming her Hiliary letting me know who the.new.President of the United States would be in January. She came home.on the 15th of November and I felt the.complete feeling of a contented love. I couldn’t stop smiling and feeling so blessed. I love them both everyday, all day long. They grew into responsible, intelligent adults with a lust for life and the want.for all people to be who they wanted to be and to be happy and contented in life because they had learned the value of getting a full life you have to reach out and grab the life you want and to keep reaching until you could no longer reach. I wish them both love, happiness, and lust.for learning something new everyday because when you continue to reach for information you can find all the answers you need because.you know what questions to ask.I Love.my children, Tristan and Betsy more than I ever could have imagined and I am proud to have been part of their lives because it.made me a better and stronger person. Thank you God for all of this happiness you have given me. Bonnie Chambers
