This was the exact day I was born..

My story is this.Wile being the insomniac that I am.I was watching this short documentary on Mental Floss in the middle of the night. It was about the Polaroid pictures of Jamie Livingston. When I just happened to see my spiritual mother…. who many call VooDoo Priestess Miriam . She lives in New Orleans. Her real Name is Mary Robin. I then wrote her shortly after seeing the photo of who I knew was her. This was our conversation

Mary Robin Williams :Celeste Kraus, What A surprise that take me back to early ninety before Oswan pass (92 or 93) on the bacolny of our first apartment, what A treat. How can we save it. My born day 🙌🏻

I turned 40 on this day! How appropriate that a small child is my picture of the day. I baby sat a lot as a teenager. I have 7 children and I also did in home day care many years, was cub-scout den leader many years and now teach children and have taught children in my church. Children seem to be a theme in my life! Thanks Jaime!

I had been sick all weekend with what the on-call dr. thought was the flu. Husband dragged me to dr. office that morning and found I had bladder and kidney infection and my unborn baby’s heart beat was very slow and weak. Went to hospital across the street and had emergency c-section for my 6 week premature son. He weighed 6 lbs. 4 oz. (I know, big for preemie but my other children were 8 and 9 ls.) His lungs weren’t developed so he was taken by helicopter to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. He only had to spend about 10 days in the hospital. Feel very blessed to have him. He is now over 6′ tall and a wonderful son.

I was born on this very day and somehow it feels as if I can see myself on that chair 20 years from now.
Jamie is a true inspiration 🙂

My brother and I share this birthday but we’re not twins. I was born in ’93 and him in ’96. Even through we’re three years apart there is something to be said about sharing the same birthday. My cousin was also born in October and there’s something from I’ve noticed from my experience with my Octoberite famiy members. I dont know if it was because we were born in the fall in a time when the world is decending into death spiral for its long winter sleep or what … but we have this kind of cynical mentality that has plagued our view of the world. When I look at this picture, the subtle smile, the confidence in the man’s pose, and his assurance in his presence in the space it gives me a bit of peace. Good things were happening in the world on the day I got here and good things will keep happening. I don’t need to be cynical all the time.

September 6th, 1993 is the day I was born. I’m now a photographer in Canberra, Australia and I just love this website that has been set up. Love to you all xo
