Stories about those days.

The stories that people have about Jamie’s photos are a source of amazement. Β Some are of the “that’s me and we were doing this” type of stories from Jamie’s friends. Some are the “I never met Jamie but this was taken on my birthday and it means a lot to me. And some are just stunningly moving one of a kind stories.

I love that these just capture every day life. Long before everyone was trying to get the perfect Instagram photo.

This one is from the day I was born.

Also my date of birth. Such a weird thought that you know what he was doing (even if it is just a moment) on that day.

This is the day, that as a 16 yr old kid growing up in a war torn country, I left my home by myself and came to USA. I how have a 16 yr old myself, and I cannot imagine how I did it and survived. This photo of a man looking out, seems appropriate!

This was the day I was born. While I don’t remember it very well, there is something very tangible to be felt when looking through these pictures as well as through learning Jamie’s story. I believe collections like this remind us how constant time is, never stopping for anyone. And how precious our time is, and ultimately a reminder to take a moment everyday no matter how big or how small and recognize it. I am very thankful that I stumbled upon a facebook video that brought me to this website. But I am even more thankful to Jamie for doing this.

This was the I was born in Morristown, New Jersey, probably not far from where this was taken. We used to drive into New York to visit friends when we were back in New Jersey. I’m an upcoming photographer and I have now found a love for film through school and working at a unique movie theatre. I’d love to take a photo like this some day

I was in the Army on this day at Ft. Bliss when the war started. It was an eerie day being 19 and justifying having to take another humans life. Luckily for me I never had to. Peace to anyone who has.

This project is amazing and I love that friends of Livingston’s are protecting this and keeping it going. This is story telling through imagery and story telling IS humanity. I love it!
