    This was the day I arrived on the planet earth. I landed on the Northern Hemisphere it was cold. People were wearing a lot of layers. I was new to it so i was just the ‘Nude Dude’. And it took me 27 years to arrive at my ‘photo of the day’!!

    In S. Korea for Team Spirit 89 – horrible day – a CH-53D from HMH-363, also out of Tustin and carrying Marines from 1st Battalion, 5th Marines (Camp Pendleton), crashed near the port of Pohang. Of the 34 men aboard, 18 Marines and 1 corpsman were killed. I watched it happen – life was never the same after this day…

    I kind of wish I knew what was happening here. Because this was the day I was born, and it was in California. But later I would travel to NZ and live there…well until I would move to Hawaii a lot later on in the story.

      Operation Desert Storm began on January 17, 1991. This looks to me like a picture of a television broadcast having to do with the subject chemical weapons, which Iraq was known to possess. Also, happy (early) birthday.
