This is the day my older sister Jennifer was born. A date she’s had to share quite a few times with the holiday of Thanksgiving. Back in the day my parents being immigrants from Montevideo Uruguay didn’t celebrate the holiday. But strangely for as long as I can remember we’ve always celebrated Thanksgiving. Sometimes we get an extra dessert in the form of birthday cake.
This would’ve been my 13th birthday. I don’t remember anything about it really but I often share my birthday with Thanksgiving and now every single year I share it with my granddaughter Lilly, my first grandchild, who happened to be born on my birthday.
