Stories about those days.

The stories that people have about Jamie’s photos are a source of amazement.  Some are of the “that’s me and we were doing this” type of stories from Jamie’s friends. Some are the “I never met Jamie but this was taken on my birthday and it means a lot to me. And some are just stunningly moving one of a kind stories.

I saw a video on facebook from mental floss talking about this man and his work. when i have the time i wasnt to go through all the photos. in the video though he mentioned how a common thing is for people to visit the site and look at the photo taken on their birthday.
I was born 7/6/1995. im a very nostalgic person who likes to see how the world was when i was little. i dont believe ive ever seen a photo aside from baby pictures, that depict this world as it was the day i came into it.
this is one of the first picture i have seen and already it makes me wonder who these people are, the story behind the photo and what the world was like back then for them. no doubt these feelings will grow when i look at the rest.
These photos are precious memories even though i dont know the people in the photos, i share the same world with them and so i feel connected in that way.
I feel sad that he passed away but im so glad his memory lives on in his art.

Thank you for your art Mr.Jamie Livingston.
As some one who also creates art ill find alot of inspiration from your work. when i saw some of your photos in that video it was like…a time capsule of sorts, showing off a time before i was born and a time i was too little to remember. i hope to create art that makes people feel the way yours makes me feel. something i can leave behind to inspire others.
I dont know if ill be able to do what youve done but i promise you i will take one photo every day of 2017 to see if i can.
Id start today but i actually need to go out and buy a new camera, also starting on newyears is just easier to keep track of.
i know 2017 will mark the beginning of many thing
the one year anniversary of me leaving a terrible person behind, the three year anniversary with the man i plan on marrying. we even plan on moving out next year. ill be celebrating the 10 year anniversary of a charity cooking show i did on youtube by bringing it back and making it into a weekly show, i also plan on going to many anime conventions and i feel like itll be a good exercise of my art skills as well as a way to tell my lifes story.
ill come back here and share it when i get started on it so maybe some one else will see it too and be inspired by seeing our world through someone elses eyes, and maybe theyll inspire me to continue on longer than a year. it certainly would be nice to have something other than my youtube videos to leave behind when im gone.

anyways, thank you so much for these pictures, you have changed my life and i just wanted to let you know that i look forward to viewing all of the photos as well as creating some of my own in your honor.

I think this is the night that the circus elephants would walk from the Queens Midtown Tunnel to Madison Square Garden on 34th street.

We used to go running with the elephants every year. We would run, it was a medium walk for the elephants.

On this day my life is profoundly changed. I broke my neck in the sledding accident. I actually died that day for 30 minutes. I was told I would forever live on a respirator, I was off the respirator in a month. Even though I was left a quadriplegic I still live life to its fullest, since the accident I’ve gone bungee jumping, skydiving, hot air ballooning, hang gliding, skiing. Traveled most of the United States, the Bahamas, some of Mexico and Canada And I just love photography. Thanks for sharing the site and the love of life. God bless

The day I was born! I like that Carmex is featured in this photo because it reminds me of my parents being obsessed with this stuff when I was a kid. That little Carmex tin screams the 80s to me.
